Calgary’s next premier entertainment venue

We were part of the group that provided accessibility feedback to maximize the potential of Scotia Place, the future home of the NHL’s Calgary Flames. Currently under construction and scheduled to open in 2027, it will be both a professional and community complex – a main events centre for games and concerts, and an attached practice rink that doubles as a community arena.

In comparison to its predecessor, it will feature no-stair entry into the arena, where guests will have access to a multitude of accessible seating options scattered throughout – there will never be a bad seat in the house. Can’t hear? No problem: assistive listening devices will be available. Too much noise? Also not a problem: there will be respite spaces for that too.

Whether it is a hockey game, concert, skate with your families, or just an outdoor gathering, Scotia Place is Calgary’s future events centre, welcoming you in 2027.
